It contains essential amino acids and fatty acids necessary to help with tissue growth and supplies vitamins and minerals and in a purposeful nutrient profile to ensure puppies reach their maximum potential.
Di-Vetelact® Original is also beneficial as a supplement to mothers milk if supply is lacking, mum is stressed and for non thriving puppies from large litters needing supplemental feeds.
Directions for Feeding Milk Replacer
30mL daily of liquid Di-Vetelact® per 100g of body weight.
The daily feeding amount should be divided into equal portions for each feeding. Young and/or weak pups should be fed every 3 to 4 hours. Older pups can be fed every 8 hours. Weigh the pups daily to assure adequate feeding. Consult your veterinarian for additional advice.
*All pups should receive their mother’s milk for at least 2 days, if possible. The early colostrum milk helps with immunity due to its high concentration of the antibodies IgA and IgG which protect against viruses and bacteria. If mother’s milk is not possible, speak to your vet about a colostrum supplement.
