Does a Food Scientist Oversee the Di-Vetelact Formulation?

Our formulation has been developed by Mike Sharpe, a world leader in advanced medical nutrition. Mike has overseen the development of hugely complicated and successful pharmaceutical nutrition products, such as Danone Aptamil Gold and De-Lact Infant Formulas.

Is it the Same Product? Has the Formula Changed?

Di-Vetelact OriginalDV is our flagship product and has been sold consistently in Australia for over 45 years. We have added the name OriginalDV as we may expand our product range and this way, our customers will always know the original. Like all great products on the market this product has undergone some improvements over the years responding to availability of ingredients, research and studies in animal milk composition and variability.

What Ingredients do you Use?

All our Ingredients are sourced from Australian suppliers under strict product certification in accordance with Australian Agriculture Bio Security laws. Our premium dairy ingredients are all sourced from Australian and New Zealand dairy farms.

Why does Di-Vetelact® Taste so Good?

Di-Vetelact® is easy to mix and has a smooth consistency that tastes great. This is the result of our excellent manufacturing and premium human grade ingredients. Animals love the flavour so will take it well. The 1 product makes it easy for the carer to provide consistent and ongoing nutrition.

Who makes Di-Vetelact® now?

Di-Vetelact® OriginalDV is still made by the Sharpe Family as it always has been. It was developed over 45 years ago by Mike Sharpe, then of Sharpe Laboratories Pty Ltd. and most recently, Nutritional Laboratories Pty Ltd. In December 2019 the business trading name was changed to Lillelund Pty Ltd as this is a family name that reflects the Danish ancestry of the Sharpe matriarch. The business is now managed by family members Mike Sharpe, Sally Irvin and Fleur Sharpe all with a shared goal to ensure Di-Vetelact® remains on the market as your favourite low lactose milk supplement for animals at every life stage.

Why is there only 1 dilution? Can I still Mix it up the Way I used to?

Di-Vetelact® OriginalDV has always recommended a dilution of 60mL per 1 scoop of powder suitable for all mammals from infancy. Our goal at Di-Vetelact® is to produce premium quality products that are simple to use, so we have returned to a 1 dilution recommendation.

You may have seen Dilution B (1 scoop per 40mL) as an additional option. In over 45 years the feedback from our animal carers is that 60mL per 1 scoop has been the most suitable, simple and effective dilution across all animals.

Rest assured the Di-Vetelact® OriginalDV formula is the same as the Di-Vetelact® you have been using for the last few years so you can continue use Di-Vetelact® OriginalDV as you always have been.

How is Di-Vetelact different to other Milk Replacers?

We have developed Di-Vetelact® OriginalDV as a functional product formulated to match mammal milk composition that would be produced in a tran-seasonal climate, during a luscious growth season and in a forage rich environment. Di-Vetelact® OriginalDV has the correct ratios and varieties of fatty acids, amino acids, sugars, vitamins and minerals in a masterful formulation. Di-Vetelact® OriginalDV sits within a range of crude ratios so that it can be used successfully for all mammals through all growth stages while being cared for in a controlled feeding environment. .

We make our product with human grade ingredients and manufacture in a facility under certified APVMA and HACCP quality management systems.
